Reigate and Redhill Live At Home Scheme

Men’s Club

Our Men’s club meet once a month with a handful of male members and volunteers and go to a local pub,The Feathers in Merstham. Transport is provided and the members really enjoy it as an opportunity to relax and socialise over a drink.

Our core service is One to One Befriending, where we match a Volunteer with a Member for ongoing support and friendship. Befriending is the basis from which the Scheme started originally and it embodies everything the Scheme stands for. One to One Volunteers offer friendship to older people who are isolated, possibly housebound and who often feel socially excluded. The areas we cover are; Merstham, Redhill, Reigate, Horley and surrounding areas.

Coffee Morning

Coffee morning - Our monthly coffee mornings are at different venues each month. These could be at a volunteers home, a garden centre or a village hall, for a couple of hours where you can catch up with your friends or make new ones over a hot drink and a slice of cake. Transport is provided for this activity.

Day Clubs

We have three day clubs, one in Redhill Methodist  Church and one in Regents Hall, Horley every Wednesday and on Monday mornings at Portland House, Merstham.  Every week there is a different activity which has been arranged by LAH staff - anything from Bingo, quizzes, craft sessions, exercise or a guest speaker.  Lunch will be provided at both the Redhill and Horley Day Clubs (Transport provided when possible).

Ladies that do Lunch

Ladies That Do Lunch is a monthly outing on a Friday.  The ladies are collected by volunteers and taken to a pub where they enjoy a leisurely lunch, chat and then taken home again.
